My Best Friend

As I have been contemplating the upcoming changes in the Owen household and what that means for Dave and I, I can't help but sit back in amazement and realize how amazing my husband is.

He is the ONLY person that really understands me and loves me even though I am full of quirks, corney jokes, lengthy opinions and random comments. He has more patience than any man I know and he is so full of love towards everyone he meets. He is always reminding me that our times here on earth are so short and we shouldn't spend it crying over people who have hurt us or mistakes we have made in the past.

I feel sad for women who are left feeling depressed and angry because of something their spouse did or said. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world because I get to go home to a man who did the dishes for me while I was at work because he knew the smell would make me sick. I get to go home to a man who made sure all of the laundry was washed and dried because he knew I was running out of garments. I get to go home to a man who puts my piled clothes away for me because he knows I HATE putting my clothes away. I get to wake up to a man who is fulfilling his responsibility of priesthood bearer, who sits in the bathroom reading the scriptures to me at 6:00 in the morning while I am getting ready for work to ensure that our family is following what we have been taught. I get to go home to a man who never stops reminding me that he loves me.
The best part of it all is I get to spend eternity with a man who calls our unborn daughter, "his princess" and I am "his queen". Who could ask for more?
