Adorable... doing what Adorable does best!

I cannot believe how quickly this month has flown by! Peyton will be one month old in
TWO DAYS!

When we went in for her two week follow up she was already weighing 7 lbs and measuring 20 inches long. Although I am sad that she is growing and changing right before our eyes it is a HUGE comfort to know that I must be doing something right in the whole "mothering thing".

She has the cutest chubby cheeks, arms and thighs of any baby I have ever seen! I am amazed with the beautiful child we have been blessed with. Heavenly Father is so great.

Here are some pictures of our little Adorable......

Sleeping: her second favorite thing to do following closely behind eating.

Bright eyed baby girl
Her eyes are still blue: the debate is on to see what color they will end up being... Dave's eyes are brown and mine are green. I am hoping for green, hazel or light brown. (it could happen... my dad has brown and my mom has hazel and I came out with green)

Mother and Daughter

Dave has had a BUSY semester with 15 credit hours, working part time as a Diet Tech and welcoming our little Adorable... He has been pulling all nighters to get his homework completed and when he is lucky he finds moments here and there during the day to sleep... of course his baby girl has to join him :)

One of my FAVORITE baby accessories: Our baby swing came second hand to us from my friend Lara. I didn't think I would ever use it because I couldn't imagine putting my baby in a swing when I could just hold her... yeah that is not a very practical way of thinking and I quickly found that if I want to get anything done (like showering or cooking dinner) when she is awake I have to put her somewhere where I can see and hear her and she can hear me.
I simply carry the swing around our apartment to any open space or doorway, turn it on and let her feel the constant movements.
...and if I am lucky she falls into a deep sleep...

I love my family

  3. Yeah, those swings are so amazing. It's the only way to get anything done. She is getting big! Glad you two have had some time to get to know each other and glad that Dave is getting some sleep :) It's hard adding daddy to the roles of student and employee. Keep the pictures coming!
