Well, I registered for my classes for the spring 2010 semester. I am pretty excited about it. It has been fun taking a semester off of school so that Dave can focus, but I am so ready to go back! I am only taking two classes because I also work full time, but I am super excited about my classes. I am talking Accounting and Medical Terminology. Dave and I discussed it too and I think we are both going to take a snowboarding class as well. I have never been so I am pretty excited about this class. Dave loves snowboarding so it will be fun to have a fun/recreational class with him.... even if I am learning on the bunny hill with five year olds while he's showing his skills off on the top of the mountain.
The last few months have been full of eventful things.
*My uncle Joeb and his wife Natalie welcomed their first child into the world in September. They named him Taycen Joseph. He is the cutest little thing!
*My mother has recently entered a relationship with a man who she is quickly falling in love with... we will see where the next year brings those two love birds.
*My cousin Brandy and her new husband Tom were married in the Mount Timponogus Temple last weekend. It was a great day! They had dancing at their reception and by the end of the night my family was wondering how I got so weird because Dave and I go a little crazy when we dance... :)
*My friend and co-worker got sealed to her husband and two of her kids on Halloween. It has been a long year for her as she has been waiting to unite her family in the temple for their sealing. It was a very emotional day for me. I have been by her side through the whole process, waiting with anticipation as the day neared. It was so great to be in the temple with her and her family.
*Work is getting busier as I am finishing up some of my projects and starting new ones. I am excited to see where I am a year from now as I am learning and growing in my work.
* Dave is the assistant wrestling coach at Ogden High this season. He is enjoying it! Not only is he getting an amazing cardio work out every day, but he is RIPPED!!!!! He is enjoying the experience and is having fun teaching the boys new wrestling moves.
*Dave figured out what he wants to major in. He is going to get his Bachelors in Health Promotion, his Minor in Nutrition and eventually his Masters in Nutrition. This has been somewhat of an exciting thing for me because he is doing so well in his classes and is very driven in his goals. It is also fun for me to get some advice from my husband on what foods are good for my body... and what ones aren't so much. He is excited about his schooling and is taking an active approach on it. It is great:)
*Dave and I also got callings in our ward. Dave is the Sunday School Teacher for the 15 year olds and I team teach with another "young married" girl in our ward in the Primary. We teach the 11 and 12 year olds. It is a lot of fun. Some days it is good birth control, but other days it makes me look forward to my days as a mother even more.
*For my birthday this year Dave got a little "suprise" together for me at Red Lobster. He invited some friends and family to dine with us and suprised me with about 20 people showing up! It was so awesome to spend time with those I love who I don't get to see that often. Dave also suprised me with a dozen long stemmed red roses!! It was so great! I have the sweetest husband! After dinner Dave made an excuse to go to his parents house and suprised me again with a keyboard so that I can play the piano/keyboard in our apartment. He knows how much I have missed my piano and was really happy that I was so excited about my keyboard.
That is about the gist of our lives right now. We are enjoying the time we get to spend with each other and we look forward to each new day as we start another adventure together.
I love your catch up blogs. It's fun, fast and informative.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I met your mom's new guy, and I really like him. I was actually sad to have them leave because it was so nice and fun. I'm excited to see where that goes.
Good Luck with the snowboarding! You fall a lot! I only went once, which apparently you have to go twice to decide if you really like it, because all you do is fall down over and over and over again the first time.
Love You, and so glad to see you so happy.
Wow it sounds like you guys are staying busy!! I took the snowboarding class once, it was pretty fun! It'll be fun for you and Dave to take it together!
