Six months Today!

It has been a couple of weeks since I last wrote, but I should update this because a lot has happened~!

First, David is home!!!
Second, David's bishop told him a couple weeks ago that June is a good month to look forward to, to be married. :) YAY!
We have picked a "tentative" day, so mark your calendars for June 20th! We can't explain how excited we are to finally have an idea of when we can be married. It is "tentative" because we can't pick a definate date until we get the letter of clearance from the first presidency. We are praying for things to work out, but this is on the Lord's time, not ours. Someone made the comment to me that, it is pretty awesome that our marriage will be approved by the First Presidency. I giggled when they said this, but it is true!
Third, we are getting our temple and my bridal pictures taken tomorrow!

Last weekend Dave and I went to the WSU insititute Spring Formal dance. We wore our Converse shoes... which we plan on wearing on our wedding day and for our pictures. We got so many comments about how cool they were. It was really funny. Mine stood out a lot (they're green) and a couple of girls, in heels, commented on how comfy they looked.

For Conference weekend we spent time in Southern Utah with Dave's family. It was a lot of fun and I fit right in!
  • Funny story: On Saturday we arrived at Dave's grandma's home just in time for lunch and the second session of conference. After the session we loaded into the cars again to go to his aunt and uncles home about 10 minutes away. Dave was pretty tired so he laid his head on my lap. Instead of resting, like a good boy, he began tickling my knee. I went to push his hand away with mine, but instead I sliced his face open with my thumb nail!! All at once I felt my hand scratch his face, he grabbed his face and said, "OWW!". I immediatly looked at my skin infested thumb nail... it was SO gross! I totally took the first layer of skin off of his face in one smooth sweep of my hand. I felt SO bad, especially when the blood came! Pete and Rosann were in the front of the car and helped me clean it up by giving me a kleenex to wipe the blood with. It wasn't a horrible facial wound, but he will have a pretty cool scar. He's looking forward to telling the story to our future children... "When your mom and I were engaged, she would beat me up!"

From this little mishap I learned: When Dave is around and feels like tickling.. make sure the finger nails are clipped! (I scratched his finger on Tuesday too...)

Well, that is about it today. When we get our pictures back I will post some of them:)
