This marks my very first blog posting in the history of David John Owen. I'm not exactly sure how to go about this, but here goes...
As most of you may already know, I am currently in my technical school stage of my military training at Keesler AFB in Mississippi. Keesler is a way nice base with a lot of fun things to do, but it's missing one thing: Shina. The separation while I was in BMT was hard, but hearing her voice for an hour or so every night has made the distance between us so much more real.
Despite being halfway across the country from each other, we have become much closer spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. Every conversation bares testimony to the fact that we are equals and are to be married in the House of the Lord. We have laughed and cried, but mostly laughed :) and I am anxiously, yet patiently, looking forward to my return to her.
I am, and will always be, eternally grateful for how perfectly things have turned out. Everything seems to be falling into place. I love Tashina!
Congrats on the wedding dress! I'm excited for you two!
