Dave and I had not been on a vacation in two years so when he found out he had to do some training for his new job in San Antonio, Texas we planned a family event out of it.
Peyton's first plane ride. She did suprisingly well considering how hot the cabin was and the fact that she couldn't run up and down the isle. A lot of fellow passengers were impressed with her (and me) and how well she handled it. I got a lot of compliments once we landed.
I love my cute little girl and handsome husband.

Dave graduated from basic training over three years ago so he was interested in seeing what it was like from the bystanders point of view. We attended the Coin Ceremony for the Airmen graduating that week. I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride as I watched the men and women who have volunteered to serve our country show off some of their marching skills and receive the honor of the Airmen's Coin. It was pretty powerful to watch these men and women in uniform as the flag flew and the National Anthem was played.
We had a nice picnic at the park on Lackland AFB.
My brother Vince, who is active duty Air Force and stationed in San Antonio.
We ate at a stake house on the river walk and Peyton was getting a little goofy as she examined a fly buzzing around the window by our table.
The boys making a magnet tower in one of the tourist gift shops on the river walk.
We got to San Antonio just in time for the opening week of Fiesta... a celebration in San Antonio that gives people a reason to get smashed. They dress up in crazy hats (that have pinatas on the top) and collect pins from vendors.
