Honeymoon and back

Well, we have been married for one week and a day so far and already we have gone on an awesome vacation, been to the temple twice and have made a "real" dinner in our little home once.

We have been so blessed and I am amazed with how quickly everything has come and gone.
*A little secret.. I am pretty happy all of the hustle and bustle is finished. It feels so good to finally be able to relax and spend some quality time with my hubby.*
Our wedding day couldn't have gone any smoother. Everyone was telling me it would be the longest day of my life, but to be honest- I don't know what all the talk is about. Dave and I felt so good all day. I think our parents were stressing more than us. The temple was the absolute best part (as it should be). I loved having my mom by my side through everything with my aunts, grandmothers, new mother-in-law and closest friends with me. The spirit was so amazingly strong and I couldn't help but shed a few tears as I looked Dave in the eyes when we were being sealed to each other for time and ALL eternity.
The temple is such an amazing place and I am so glad that Dave and I devoted our faith and patience in the Lord to make sure we got there.
We spent our honeymoon in Lava Hot springs, Idaho. It was so much fun to be able to spend some time alone finally!
Now- The TRUE reason why I wanted to post something today.
DID YOU KNOW- that Napoleon Dynamites fictitious feline drawings of Ligers are real?! Dave and I were touring the Lava Hot springs museum and there was a video playing that had pictures of newspaper articles telling about this place called, "Ligertown". It used to be just outside of Lava Hot springs. This crazy man was breeding Lions and Tigers in horrible living conditions and the animals ended up getting out of their cages. They were killing other animals and attacking people in Lava and the surrounding towns. They say the locals along with the help of the police were able to kill all of the animals that were feeding themselves on live stock and people. There are only a few of the ligers, tigers and lions that survived and were shipped to zoos. This crazy man was also breeding hybrid wolves and who knows what else.

Dave and I thought we were being messed with so we asked the museum lady if it was real. She started telling us about "Ligertown" and what happened to it once the state got involved. From what she said, they closed it down and burned the whole place. I guess the smell was enough to turn anyone away.

Here's some info from Wikipedia that I found:
The liger is a hybrid cross between a male lion (Panthera leo) and a tigress (Panthera tigris), hence has parents with the same genus but of different species. It is distinct from the similar hybrid tigon. It is the largest of all cats and extant felines.

And some pictures of Ligers: (so you know I'm not lying)
